Frequently Asked Questions
Here you’ll find simple, helpful answers to the most common things learners ask about. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, feel free to get in touch – I’m always happy to help.
What do I need to bring to my first driving lesson?
You’ll need your provisional driving licence and wear suitable footwear (flat shoes or trainers are ideal).
If you wear glasses, don’t forget them — you’ll need to read a number plate from 20 metres away.
How long is each driving lesson?
Standard lessons are 1 or 2 hours long. The 2-hour option is great for faster progress, especially if you're close to your test.
Can I start lessons before passing my theory test?
Yes! You can take driving lessons as soon as you have your provisional licence. You don’t need to pass your theory first.
Do you offer lessons for nervous beginners?
Absolutely. I specialise in helping nervous drivers feel relaxed and confident behind the wheel — at your own pace.
What areas do you cover?
I provide lessons across Nottingham, including Beechdale, Bilborough, Wollaton, Chilwell and nearby areas.
Do you offer mock driving tests?
Yes – I provide realistic mock tests to help prepare you for the real thing. They’re a great way to build confidence and fix any last-minute issues.
